Payment Methods
Last updated: 15 August 2026
DukaCart accepts one payment method, and it is the one that puts the risk on us rather than on you.
Cash on delivery
You pay the rider in cash when the parcel is in your hands. There is no deposit, no card, and no payment of any kind when you place the order.
Why we only do it this way
Online shopping only works when the buyer is not the one taking the risk. With cash on delivery you see the item, check it, and only then part with your money. If it is not what you ordered, you refuse it and pay nothing.
What you will pay
- The product price shown on the product page, in Kenyan Shillings, including tax.
- No delivery charge, unless you are in one of the remote northern counties — and that surcharge is shown at checkout.
- Nothing else. There are no hidden charges and no service fees added at the door.
The total shown on the order confirmation page is the exact amount the rider will ask for.
A note on M-Pesa
We do not currently take M-Pesa or card payments online. If a courier offers M-Pesa on delivery in your area, that is arranged between you and the rider at handover; the amount is the same either way.
Receipt
You receive a delivery note with the parcel. If you need anything further for your records, write to orders@dukacart.co.ke with your order number.
