DukaCart is a Kenyan online shop for the things a household actually uses — and you pay for them when they reach your door.
Why we started
Buying online in Kenya has one recurring problem: you are asked to pay first and hope second. Plenty of people have sent money and received nothing, or received something that looked nothing like the photo. That single experience is why most Kenyans still prefer to buy in person.
DukaCart is built the other way round. You order, we call you to confirm, the rider brings the parcel, you open it at your door, and only then do you pay. If it is not what you expected, you hand it back and pay nothing. The risk sits with us, which is where it belongs.
What we commit to
Cash to the rider, after you have seen the item. No deposit, no card, no M-Pesa in advance.
The rider waits while you check the parcel. Wrong item or damaged? Refuse it and pay nothing.
Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret and beyond, through couriers we actually track.
Return or exchange within 15 days of delivery, unused and in its packaging.
